I spent all of last year saying that I should fire up the blog again, the social media ecosystem being what it is (rip Livejournal, nobody's done it as well since) and I had all the pieces lying around so here goes.
A decade of working in Unity's left me comfortable with .NET and not a lot of modern web technologies, and while on the one hand a tool's a tool and there's no reason I should have to customize it, as long as there's the choice and I don't know any better, I'm going with static site generator Statiq even though it's only got like one default theme that's just kind of meh. I had to kludge in the photo over a giant header; I took it myself from a tree nearby that herons like to hang out in.
But hey, it's a start. Post sources are markdown that lives on my computer, so if I think of a better place to put them it'll be easy to move.
